    Positive The food, although modest, was excellently prepared. The room was the best in the house, overlooking the fish pond. The staff service was exceptional, but never bothersome. All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

    Positive I booked this ryokan because most hotels in Toyama were fully booked. It’s just a short ride from Takaoka and a pleasant walk to reach — a nice warm-up for the hiking season. I’ve stayed in many ryokans before, but this one truly stands out for its excellent value for money, spacious in a tatami mat, clean, and the best Japanese breakfast set we’ve ever had.

    Positive Staff are super nice. Location is perfect for our trips to Himi seafood market canteen. We love the colorful fish in the pool next to our balcony.
