    Positive The villa was nice but dated. It could use an upgrade but it was a bigger place for our group which was great. The beds were not very comfortable but that's just the way it is in Japan. All the extra facilities are closed in the winter.

    Positive Nice and peaceful area for a relaxed family vacation. The staffs were very friendly and helped us with pick up from Karuizawa station. From a bus stop near the hotel, we can catch an express bus that goes directly to Kusatsu Onsen (around 1 hour), so we can enjoy both Kusatsu and Karuizawa. The grilled apple at the lobby is nice!

    Positive It’s more of a summer chalet so it was really cold in winter in the toilets. But they were very kind to give us an extra heater in there. Thank you so much. We loved that we had snow all around us and our kids played in the woods and snow all day. There was no snow in Karuizawa and it only snowed at higher altitudes where we were so we felt lucky. The house
