    Positive Very clean and spacious, especially for a couple. The futons were comfortable and the slippers great. The neighborhood was quiet but not far from the station and commercial areas. I did appreciate that the owner responded to our questions with alacrity.

    Positive Location was very good, close to Matsue station and bus stations. The tourist office by the way is just outside of the station, to the right as you exit the station and it is a separate building. The information they provided was excellent. We ate out only once a day so we bought some groceries and other foods from the large AEON mall which is a 10-min walk

    Positive I like "slow travel" and prefer to be unwired and free from the distractions of a mobile phone during my wanderings. This makes my journeys just a bit more challenging in the digital age; however, the host was very understanding and let me and my friend register and "check-in" well in advance, before we left the USA for Japan. A door code was provided before
