Positive It's a traditional ryokan with onsen, restorant, shop and beer bar in the same building. It was calm and snowing.

Positive The onsen ryokan was comfortable and spacious, especially when travelling alone. Remember to book the shuttle bus from Kakunodate train station if you are not driving. The hotel looks and room are clean and well-kept despite the buildings might seems old from the photos.
