Positive Exceptional hotel. I could write a novel here, but it's one of the best I've ever stayed at. Yakushima is a special place and Sankara is just perfect. Beautiful location, beautiful rooms, amazing spa, but most importantly, they have incredible human beings working there. The entire staff is wonderful, without exception. I can't wait to return.

Positive The stay at Sankara leveled up our trip to Japan significantly. The accommodation was great (not to forget the 24/7 „onsen“ in it), the food was excellent and the service we experienced was the best in my life thanks to a staff who was always keen to understand your needs and wishes and fulfill them im the most sincere way.
