    Positive By far the best place we stayed in Japan. I felt immersed in Japanese history while staying at this traditional Japanese style home. The location is great too, the place is close to transit (metro) and relativeley close to everything, while still being in a quiet, non-touristy neighborhood. The host (Taku) is exceptional.     Positive The breakfast was lovely and it was a pleasure getting to talk with the chef and get recommendations of things to see in town. The building itself was full of history and traditional charm but it still had modern comforts. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Kyoto.
