    Positive The staff was friendly, the location was great. Very close to the bus stop from Shimabara and to Isahaya. Conbini and izakaya in close reach. The next door place has good chanpon. The host can recommend some hiking routes, be sure to ask. Went to Fugendake from here, the trip overall was very nice!

    Positive I really liked this place. It is a small and very basic family run guesthouse. The location is perfect - you step off the bus in central Unzen, and the guest house is right there. It is managed by a family with some extremely adorable kids who are lovely and lively with foreigners. It's also a great place to get some advice about traveling in Unzen (in Japan
