Positive We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Positive Beautiful location in the hills of Castelo de Paiva. Great with a dog. Very nice and welcoming owners. The brand-new apartments with balcony or terrace are simply amazing. The breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again when we are in the Douro area. Approx. 45 min to Porto.
