Positive What a gorgeous place to stay. Perfect location, so quiet yet walking distance to the town. Whole property is beautiful, gardens delightful, breakfast amazing and lovely, friendly hosts.

Positive The location was fantastic. It was just a short walk to town, down a long, leafy driveway providing total peace and quiet. The room was very comfortable. the breakfast in the morning was made to order and delicious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Jill was a great hostess giving us lots of local tips for hikes, etc.

Positive The location is impossible to beat. Far enough out that it’s quiet and peaceful, but close enough to easily wander into the town of Ambleside or make your way to hiking paths without the need for a car. There is a bus stop that services the 555 and 599 lines a short 5-6 minute walk down the road, making even the surrounding areas of Grasmere, Keswick, Winder
