Positive It was very close to the Malecon, restaurants, grocery and convenience stores. The room was clean and comfortable and the shared kitchen had everything you could need. The staff was very accommodating, going out of their way for me to store my bag while I went on a kayak trip ended though my coming and going was outside of their regular office hours.
